Thank you for registering for Finatic Online (September 2015)!
This will be a fortnight long quiz starting tomorrow, i.e., 22nd September, 2015. The first question will be put up at 6:00 PM.
Following are the Rules for this quiz-
1) The Quiz is open to anyone in the world. The top prize, unfortunately, is open only to undergrad and postgrad students from across India.
2) To help us keep tab of the participants, please add yourself as a ‘follower’ on the blog.
3) A question will be open for 7 days for answering.
4) Points to correct answers (with explanations) will be given according to the rule:
HARD QUESTIONS: 20-t
MEDIUM QUESTION: 15-t
EASY QUESTIONS: 10-t
Any correct answer without explanation will be given 5-t points
Where t = the no. of days that have passed since the question was posted.
For example: if any easy question is posted on 22/9/2015 at 6:00pm, then the participant will get 10 points for a correct answer with explanation if it is answered at or before 6:00pm on 23/9/2015. The points keep on decreasing for the following days.
5) For connect questions, the participants are required to give explanations for at least n-2 connect images to obtain full points. (where ‘n’ is the total number of connect images in the question) For any question with 3 images, explanation for at least 2 images will be required.
6) The Leaders’ Board will help you figure out where you stand among others and it will be updated after 4-5 posts.
7) We also have a Grand Connect question. This will draw on answers from four different questions. You will have the opportunity to try for the connect with each question that goes into the Connect. If you crack the Connect together with the explanation after the nth Connect question, you will get 20(5-n) points. For instance, if you get the Connect together with the explanation for the Connect after 2 questions that go into the Connect, you will get 20(5-2) points, or 60 points.
